I am a Registered Sign Language Interpreter having studied the Post Graduate Diploma in BSL/English Interpreting and Translation at UCLAN. I am registered with NRCPD and a member of ASLI. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and valid professional indemnity insurance. I am also a qualified Electronic Notetaker.
I am a sibling of a Deaf adult and am extremely passionate about equality and inclusion. I am a proud ally of the Deaf community and was lucky enough to be at the BSL Rally in March 2022 for the second reading of the BSL Bill - which has now become the BSL Act 2022.
Woman of the Year
In June 2024 I was named 'Woman of the Year' at the Everywoman Transport & Logistics Awards. The judges praised my professionalism, resillience and dedication to Deaf awareness and dismantling barriers - ensuring equal opportunities for all.
